Choosing Wine for Your Wedding
Take time to select wine and foods that go together, so the experience is more memorable for your guests. When paired well, food and wine can help create the "look and feel" of your wedding. Here are some of my favorite food and wine picks:
I'm often asked what kind of wine is best to serve at weddings. I usually recommend two options: - Keep it simple and please the crowd by serving our Chardonnay and Cabernet, or
- Consider an "out of the box" choice – and display your wine savvy – by serving our Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Noir
- In today's health-conscious world, my favorite entrée is a simple salmon filet with Mirassou Pinot Noir. The oil in the salmon is cut perfectly by the Pinot Noir, and the "weight" of the two are perfect together.
I love Riesling with cake. Our Riesling has a slight effervescence that helps refresh the pallet after tasting a mixture of icing and cake. Plus, this immediately adds an unexpected and "hip" factor to your reception.
